• Import/Export from Microsoft Excel
• MindView now uses the Office Open XML file format (.xlsx) so Microsoft Office Excel is not required for import/export.

Fixed Issues:

• The MindView 8 Installer now installs MindView on ARMx64 Windows without failing on installing Visual C++ Redistributable. MindView will still run in Emulator mode running Intel x64.
• A number of other enhancements and bug fixes have been made.

MindView 8 Windows Update 7 (8.0.28530)

Fixed Issues:

• Packed MindView documents containing attachments using file names with national or Unicode characters will now work as expected. This issue was introduced in the last update.
• The updater will now preserve the license as expected during the update.

MindView 8 Windows Update 6 (8.0.28310)

• Introduction of MindView Assist, a mobile app used to gather research information. Once collected by the app, the information is automatically displayed in MindView’s new Research panel.
• Capture Tool:
  • Captures can now be saved to the new Research panel
  • It is now possible to continue capturing multiple items
• Word Export now includes the APA 6th Edition and APA 7th Edition format templates.
• Dragging an external image into MindView now shows a shell overlay of the image within the map view while dragging.
• Online documents saved on MindView Drive now keep the previous versions history. Any previous version of a document can be restored directly from the Manage Files page.
• A Recycle Bin tab has been added to the Manage Files page. Deleted files are moved to the Recycle Bin and kept there for 30 days.

Fixed Issues:

• The pen recognition initialization is now done silently and will not report any errors during startup of MindView if pen support is not available.
• Custom icons are now shown as expected in the Icons panel when their size is not 16×16 pixels.

• Fixed script exception issue in Backstage view which was introduced in some cases in newer Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime browsers.

• The Google Login authorization now uses the default browser. This has been done because of new Google restrictions which prevent login in embedded browsers.
• Relative paths to network drives are now evaluated correctly in all situations.
• It is now possible to cancel the opening of an online document.
• Users working on online documents are now informed when the connection is lost.
• The Icons panel now supports very high screen resolutions without clipping the icons.
• Opening a shared document from a share link now works as expected when MindView is not already running.
• When exporting the Gantt view to a picture, Resource names and Task names fonts are now rendered correctly.
• Branch Locking on online documents now works as expected for users without an email associated.
• The critical path is now calculated correctly in the special scenarios where weekday exceptions for individual users overlap the main calendar exceptions.

MindView 8 Windows Update 3 (8.0.25177)

Fixed Issues:

• Coming out of sleep mode now forces online documents to be reloaded.
• When the administrator de-activates MindView Online and MindView Drive, MindView now respects this setting and does not allow online documents to be opened.
• Enhancements have been made to the login/activation process when working on very slow internet connections, thereby preventing the display of the “You are offline” error message.
• Collaboration on online documents has been enhanced.
• Hovering calculation cells containing formulas longer than 1024 characters now shows a tooltip as expected instead of an error message.
• Publishing maps to the Public Library no longer causes MindView to stop responding or even freeze in some circumstances.
• The Timeline Outline now updates the column headers automatically when the time type is changed.

• MindView now has the ability to use the newly released Chromium-based Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime browser as embedded browser.

• Inserting hyperlinks now include the ability to browse for online documents on MindView Drive.
