The ‘Technology Anwender Zentrum Spiegelau’, or TAZ for short, is one of thirteen technology campuses making up the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. It is located in the middle of the Bavarian Forest glassmaking region.
With its broad spectrum of scientists and technicians, TAZ conducts research and develops innovative solutions in the fields of melting technology, hot glass shaping and glass analysis. Core competencies include: the development of new types of glass and their assessment prior to industrial use; the design of processes for the thermoforming of glass components; the transfer of technological processes usable in industry; and feasibility studies for complex glass components. In addition, TAZ develops programs aimed at the glass industry on quality management, lean management and process management. TAZ’s overall focus is the digitalization of processes and the promotion of Glass Industry 4.0.
Acting as a bridge between research and industry, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in cooperation with the Bayreuth University allows TAZ to support pilot projects from their initial concept through development to implementation. In view of the extremely wide range of applications of glass technology, TAZ’s customers and partners come from a variety of different industries, from classic glass-making to the automotive industry. It is precisely this interface between science and business that gives TAZ such a unique voice in the field of glass technology.
I chose MindView because of the way it combines Mind Maps and Gantt diagrams. This allows us to convert what we have created and structured in a Mind Map or PSP into a Gantt diagram with just the one click.
I used MindView for R&D at Verallia Deutschland AG until 2019 and since then, at TAZ and for training industrial engineers.
I use MindView for project planning and project management as well as teaching and employee training.
Among many other things, I particularly appreciate being able to set up and structure project plans, including resource allocation. Being able to switch from view to view dynamically saves me a lot of time when visualizing and converting information.
I particularly like the ease of use of the software, and the quality of the webinars.
I can see MindView being used wherever R&D projects are needed, especially but not only on external technology campuses.
As mentioned above, particularly for R&D projects and on external technology campuses.
The cooperation is excellent. When needed, my long-standing MatchWare contact F. Valente comes to my aid quickly and competently. Thank you!
Yes, I do that all the time.
I particularly appreciate being able to set up and structure project plans, including resource allocation.
